Once the day of the test came around and I finished the exam, I felt somewhat relieved that it was over, but I was very anxious of my performance. When I arrived at San Jose that afternoon, all anxiousness went away. Sitting down at the computer, typing up patient information into an excel sheet, I actually felt relaxed. Doing busy work that required little thought, my brain was able to rest. Plus, it felt good to know that what I was doing was helpful for the clinic.
This positive attitude I developed from volunteering helped motivate me to finish up the grant information, which I was able to turn in on time to the University Research Committee. Also, I enjoyed my weekend out at Fort Worth, TX, with my awesome amigos where I attended WekFest, a modified car show...
... and I finally was able to get pictures of my car! (Thanks Gaby!)
Thanks to volunteering and my amazing friends, I was able to appreciate life A.C.B.E. (After a Cell Bio Exam). All I needed to do was relax.
